Rainbow Bait by Marina1 Rainbow Bait by Marina1
This is the bait (a rubber minnow or something like that) that fell off and just happened to be the last one my fisherman friend had. He was determined to get it back and thankfully, it fell off in the shallow water in front of us. He wasn't about to get in the 'gator ridden water, that also happens to host cotton mouth snakes. We were quite entertained by his successful retrieval. Yay, he got it!

I like the rainbow like colors in this water!

:D I was on the boardwalk and the gators are/should be afraid of us, unless of course people feed them, then they lose their fear. I've never had a problem, yet. The snakes really creep me out, this time of year they are on higher ground but soon will return to the bushes in the water and some of them are huge.

:jawdrop: are those the real reflected/refracted colours or did you photoshop it?? Thats amazing. Instant Fav. I love this shot. Someparts are a little bit blurry, and the bait is overexposed perhaps?? But I just adore the colours. Well done!

Thank you very much! My main focus was on the bait and it was that color too. The other side was a different color, and much more colorful. I was pleased at how it turned out and a bit disappointed that it wasn't better received, than it has been. I really appreciate you taking the time to drop by and look around. Thanks, again for the lovely comment and the :+fave: You more than made up for the lack of comments.

Those are real reflected/refracted colours. I don't photoshop my photos. I have done simple cropping on some but, I'm one of those, what you see is what you get. I don't have photoshop loaded yet and really, I don't have the time or inclination to do it. I've been taught that if you have good previsualization, that you shouldn't even have to crop, not to mention use PS to edit/improve a shot. Correction, I do have a photo program that I can change color shots, to B/W and that's the extent of it, for me. I generally don't even do that, unless someone requests it. Hey, take care. :D

Yeah, i got linked to your page from someone elses fav list and was attracted to the photo. That 2 colour bait is now explained.... it wasnt really making sense in my head, and the colour underneth made me think overexposure... i stand corrected!! D I appreciate the lack of photoshopping. Still, chagning the contrast and brightness of an image can REALLY bring out the quality of it and sometimes make the textures come to life a bit (as long as it is done mildly and carefully). On my latest piece, I had to photoshop it, because it was nice a shot, but it was taken on the camera mode sepia, and my camera has a really rich dirty sepia colour. Toning down the saturation and darkening the hue made it much nicer [link] anyway... Rambling on... See ya!

Cool, on the linking through someone elses fav's. I tend to do that quite often.

I agree,on improving an image, if it's only minor. I just haven't gone there yet. I'm sure there are several in my gallery I should have edited. I may one day.

No problem with the rambling. You were short, compared to me.

I just took a peek at the image you linked for me and I can handle that. I personally couldn't tell you'd done anything to it. That's how it should look, natural. :D
